Forest & Measham: Cllr Sean Sheahan
On your side in Forest & Measham Cllr Sean Sheahan, Labour Candidate for Forest & Measham division
Sean is a highly experienced Councillor who takes pride in getting the best outcomes for the communities he represents. For eight years he has stood firm against HS2, working closely with local residents to persuade the Government to change its plans.
Last year, Sean supported parents from Measham in a major dispute with the County Council over entitlement to free secondary school bus passes. Dozens of families faced unfair charges amounting to several hundred pounds before the Council backed down..
With County Council finances increasingly under pressure, we need a Councillor who can be trusted to fight our corner. If re-elected, Sean will continue to work hard to protect and improve the services that matter to you and your family.
Sean will –
Oppose HS2 and seek investment in local rail, eg the Ivanhoe Line
Support the restoration of the Ashby Canal to Measham, Oakthorpe and Donisthorpe
Continue helping residents at risk of flooding to secure proper remediation schemes
Albert Village crossroads
Ensure Taylor Wimpey fulfils its commitment to install a double mini-roundabout
Covid recovery programme
Demand timely and effective support for families and businesses impacted by Covid
